Will we still have a bus service next March?  And will the village surgeries be closed to cut the debts of the local Primary Care Trust?  (In which case - with no bus, how do people with no cars get to Selby to see the doctor?) (25 September 2005) Why aren't locals using the bus? Maybe Arriva has the answers!

UK Coal submitted an application for the re-use and retention of Wistow Mine Site (which according to planning consent was to have been restored to agricultural use within 12 months of cessation of coaling).  This application was heard at a special planning committee on 8 June 2005, and was rejected by Selby District Council.  UK Coal has now appealed against the decision.
